Tiberiu, a 23-year-old from the northern part of Romania, recently had the opportunity to participate in a job shadowing program in Estonia as part of the Together Against Discrimination project. The project was organized by Seiklejate Vennaskond, a non-governmental organization focused on promoting social equality, and the sending organization was DGT Romania. During his time as a job shadow, Tiberiu had the opportunity to learn how to design and deliver workshops on discrimination. He was able to put this knowledge into practice when he visited three schools and one high school in Estonia. At these institutions, Tiberiu had the chance to share information about Romania and its culture with the students, as well as describe the situation of discrimination in his home country. One of the key aspects of Tiberiu's experience was his ability to conduct workshops with the students. The workshops were designed to raise awareness about discrimination, and included activities that encouraged participants to consider the effects of discrimination and the ways in which it can be addressed. Tiberiu was pleased with the level of engagement he observed from the students, and was glad to see that many of them were eager to learn more about the topic. Overall, Tiberiu's job shadowing experience in Estonia was a rewarding one. He was able to learn new skills, meet new people, and make a positive impact by raising awareness about discrimination. Through his efforts, he hopes to contribute to a more inclusive and tolerant world, and looks forward to continuing to do so in the future. |
