Partnership building activity "Kaleidoscope" in Italy

In 27th of October until 5 of November our Compatriots program intern Oleksandra spent time with our partner in Italy:

I had an honor to represent my organization “Seiklejate Vennaskond” at the Partnership Building Activity “Kaleidoscope” in Italy. The mobility was coordinated by Associazione Kora within the framework of its 2023/24 Erasmus+ KA151 accreditation in the field of youth.

During the PBA we established contacts & collaborations among organizations working within the Erasmus+ programme, boosted synergies and built strong long-term partnerships for future projects.

We exchanged good practices and quality standards in the field of youth work. Also, we developed Partnership Building Activity tools where we share good practices of different exercises and inspiring projects working with young people.

“Kaleidoscope” took part on the educational farm Buona Terra in Passignano sul Trasimeno. The farm gave great importance to self-responsibility, respect of nature and environmental impact. We met volunteers from different countries who’re doing the European Solidarity Corps with the mission of Olive-picking.

I tried in practice to collect olives using a special device and explore all the stages of the process of olive oil production. We visited a local olive oil production La Badiaccia, where we not only learned more about business but also had the opportunity to taste different types of oil.

One of the activities was the influence of food on the overall process and the unification of participants through joint cooking. Thus, we were preparing lunch as a team experiencing intercultural exchange. At the same time, we set a common ground for the different projects in which the organizations will be strategically involved within Kora’s accreditation. As well as promoting the Erasmus+ programme in the area of Passignano sul Trasimeno.

In general, PBA created a space for networking, allowing the organizations and youth workers involved to meet potential new partners and set the base for future collaborations. I’d like to Thank my organization — Seiklejate Vennaskond for support and help during the PBA and hosting organization Kora for such a fruitful, high quality and valuable Project!
